First Steps

In order to join our team, go to https://www.crowdrise.com/o/en/campaign/first-to-vote and click on the “Join” button.

You now have the option to either join a team or create a new team.

Crowdrise is organized by teams. You can create your own team or join an existing team that sounds interesting. The point of the Crowdrise teams is for teams to engage in friendly banter and competition via social media.

If you want to create your own team, you will be able to name your team and edit the story. You can keep the language we have provided or edit and personalize your message to explain why you are passionate about supporting the First to Vote campaign. If you don’t know what team to join, join the Better Days 2020 team.

Getting started:

We ask that you please engage and energize supporters over a week or two by doing these four things:

1 - Publish the fundraising video on your Facebook and/or twitter account: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5oGCi74_Gbo with a link to your campaign

You can add captions such as: Did you know that Utah was the first place that a woman in America cast a ballot under equal suffrage laws? Or that we elected the first female state senator, Dr. Martha Hughes Cannon? We get to celebrate both of these accomplishments in 2020. Can you please join me by donating to my fundraising campaign? Choose YOUR TEAM and YOUR NAME when you donate!

2 - Send an email to 20 friends and family members. Email is much more effective than social posts in getting potential donors to donate!

About the history of suffrage in Utah with a caption such as:

I have loved getting to know the story behind Utah’s involvement in the suffrage movement and learning about other important women in Utah’s history.
